Paid before you have left the drive
Waiting on a bank transfer is the slowest part of getting paid, and nobody chases it until it is a month late. Open the job, show the QR code, and the customer scans it on their own phone. Collecting has its own permission, kept separate from seeing the invoice book, so an engineer can take the money at the door without being able to look at what everybody else has been charged.

It reaches your books without you touching it
A payment taken through Stripe records itself against the invoice it belongs to and goes out to Xero, QuickBooks or FreeAgent with everything else, so your aged debt list shrinks on its own rather than after an evening of reconciling. Stripe charge their usual 1.5% and 20p on a UK card, and I add a flat 30p on an invoice that actually gets paid, so an invoice nobody pays costs you nothing.

Connected in a couple of minutes
- 1 Open Mucka and go to Settings, then Payments
- 2 Tap Connect Stripe. Already on Stripe? Sign in and your details carry over
- 3 Fill in anything Stripe still needs from you and that is it
- 4 Your next invoice goes out with a Pay button on it
