You do not need a running commentary. Owners and managers get a morning briefing and an end-of-day summary of the whole business, and nobody is told anything through me they couldn’t open on screen themselves. I only message the team inside the opening hours you’ve saved, with an hour either side, and bank holidays count as closed, though anything urgent still comes through. Rework a week of the diary and the engineer gets the first change straight away, then the rest as one message once it settles.
