Monthly cover plans, off the spreadsheet at last
They pay you monthly, you service the boiler once a year and turn out when it breaks. Most firms run that on a spreadsheet that cannot tell them what the book is worth. I can.

Your cover levels
Build the plans you actually sell, with the monthly price and what each one includes, plus add-ons that sit on top.
Who is covered
Every client on a plan and the property it covers, counting down their allowance as the year goes on: 2 of 4 call-outs, and so on.
What the book is worth
Monthly recurring income, how many are still paying a year on, why the others left, and who is due to pay this week.
The number a buyer asks for first
Anyone valuing a heating business looks hard at how many plan customers are still paying twelve months on, and expects 85% or better. Few owners can answer it, because the spreadsheet does not know. The Numbers tab does: what comes in each month, how many stay past a year, and the split between those who chose to leave and those lost to a failed payment. That second group is usually winnable.
- Monthly recurring income across everyone paying
- Retention twelve months on, the figure buyers ask for
- Lost on purpose versus lost to a failed payment
The plan follows the property
Cover is on the boiler at an address, not on a person, which is what a plan actually is. Each customer gets their own page where they agree to their cover and set up a Direct Debit, so the sign-up is not a phone call and a paper mandate.
- Cover sits on the property, not the customer record
- Customers agree and set up a Direct Debit on their own page
- A fourteen day cooling-off window, handled properly
What is still landing
This one is in early access and part built, so here is exactly where it stands rather than a vague promise. The Service Plans page is live: build your plans, put clients on them, see the book and the numbers. Customers can agree to cover and authorise a Direct Debit through GoCardless. Still coming is me collecting the monthly payment, so for now that stays where it is today.
- Live: plans, clients, allowances and the numbers
- Live: customer sign-up and Direct Debit authorisation
- Still coming: taking the monthly payment itself
