The job grows halfway through? Add the variation and your customer signs it off on the same page, so there is no argument at the end and it all rolls into the final invoice. The quote keeps the figure it was signed at, with the agreed total underneath and who signed the change and when. The final invoice then lands on that same page with a Pay by card button, so the whole job lives on one link the customer has had since the quote. Deposits and stage payments, on the same page

Tick Take a deposit, set a percentage or a fixed amount, and your customer accepts, signs and pays it by card in one go. The deposit is raised as a proper invoice in its own right and comes off the final invoice as a line they can see. On bigger jobs, split the rest into stages with your own milestones, like “First fix complete”, each a percentage or an amount. Each stage is raised as its own invoice when you tap Raise this stage, never automatically, because only you know the work is done. The balance is always whatever is left. Deposits and stages aren’t available on CIS subcontractor work yet.
